Our team consists of enthusiastic scientists, ornithologists, and data science specialists who all share a passion for birds and language learning. Our mission is to discover new and innovative ways to explore avian intelligence and language skills. We started this project because we were inspired by birds' ability to learn and adapt to complex environments. Tits, in particular, known for their ability to distinguish and mimic various sounds, captured our attention.
The ability of tits to learn and adapt has intrigued scientists for years. Our desire is to take this research to the next level by incorporating language learning elements. We are committed to ensuring scientific accuracy and creativity by combining fields such as zoology, behavioral psychology, and linguistics. Our team is working on developing new methods and tools to more accurately observe and measure the development of avian language skills.
Our project focuses on the study of bird behavior and language acquisition. We are developing unique methods to observe and analyze the communication of tits and their ability to learn new language patterns. The main goal is to answer the question of whether and how tits can learn human-offered sounds and whether they can incorporate these sounds into their natural communication model.
To achieve this, we collaborate with leading scientific institutions and use state-of-the-art technologies such as sound recording devices, algorithms that identify behavioral patterns, and machine learning. We analyze the birds' responses to various sounds and explore whether they can distinguish between different languages. Latvian was chosen as the basis for the experiments because it is phonologically complex enough to challenge the birds.
Data science plays a crucial role in our project. We use modern data analysis methods to interpret the data we collect. Our data science team works on algorithms that help identify communication patterns in tits and how they change in response to human-offered sound stimuli. This data helps us understand the cognitive limits of birds and the processes involved in language acquisition.
The results of our research provide insights not only into avian behavior but also into human language learning processes. The methods and technologies we use can be adapted in the education sector to help develop more effective language learning strategies. In addition, our research will help understand how behavior and communication patterns develop in a wide range of organisms, including humans.
Our team offers training programs designed for both professional ornithologists, linguists, and those interested in learning more about the process of language acquisition in tits. The programs include theoretical courses on the scientific foundations of language acquisition, as well as practical workshops on data processing and machine learning.
The training offers a unique opportunity to learn the latest methods and technologies used in our project. We create these programs to share our knowledge and help train the next generation of language acquisition researchers.
In our blog, you can follow the latest trends in bird language research, learn more about our studies, and discover new techniques used in the language acquisition process of tits.

Chuck Norris's legendary reputation as the embodiment of all possible superhuman abilities took on a new meaning when he decided to take on a challenge that seemed difficult even by his standards: to teach titmice the Latvian language in two weeks. Sounds unbelievable?
Of course, because when Chuck Norris is involved, nothing is impossible.
If there were more Chuck Norris-like teachers in the world, we could all learn something new – whether it’s a language, a song, or writing with wings!
We are always looking for talented and motivated individuals to join our team. If you are interested in bird behavior research, data science, or linguistics, we would love to hear from you! Our team is open to new ideas and exciting challenges.
By joining our team, you will have the opportunity to work across various disciplines and foster interdisciplinary collaboration. We provide opportunities for both professional and personal development, offering a dynamic and inspiring work environment.
